Seeking Independence

At the end of my sale career, I understood how

important it was to me to have a positive impact

on the lives around me. In collaboration with

Sutherland Mazda, I created and hosted an

Art Exhibition titled "Seeking Independence"

Inspired by one of my clients, it was hosted in

memory of her late husband who eventually

lost his battle to lung cancer. Towards the

end of his journey, she had to learn how to

navigate life as a sole caregiver and even

daily tasks such as driving to appointments or

the weekly groceries became a challenge

She found solitude through art and from this

reclaimed a part of her independence that

had been tucked away for so long

I arranged for herself and her peers at her local

art gallery to showcase their work at sales

dealership with majority of proceeds donated to

The Lung Foundation Charity

Following her journey before, during, and after his

passing I found difficult and heartbreaking, but

to be able to be a part of her healing was truly

rewarding

A reminder of how our actions can lift others

in a time they may need it most
